Echo And The Bunnymen - Bring On The Dancing Horses

Jimmy Brown
made of stone
Charlie Clown
no way
home
bringing the dancing horses
headless and all
alone

shiver and say the words
of every lie
you've heard

first I'm gonna make it
then I'm gonna break it
till it falls apart
hating all the faking
and shaking while I'm
breaking
you're brittle heart

Billy
stands
all alone
sinking sand
skin and bone
bring on the dancing horses
wherever they may roam

bring on the new messiah
wherever he may roam

Sometimes, I totally forget it... I must have faith in myself. My inner peace doesn't come from what surrounds me... I can't be happy on the basis of material stuff or because other people do stuff to keep me happy. That's a lie.

Depeche Mode- A question of lust

A question of lust

Fragile
Like a baby in your arms
Be gentle with me
I’d never willingly
Do you harm
Apologies
Are all you seem to get from me
But just like a child
You make me smile
When you care for me
And you know
It’s a question of lust
It’s a question of trust
It’s a question of not letting
What we’ve built up
Crumble to dust
It is all of these things and more
That keep us together
Independence
Is still important for us though (we realise)
It’s easy to make
The stupid mistake
Of letting go (do you know what I mean)
My weaknesses
You know each and every one (it frightens me)
But I need to drink
More than you seem to think
Before I’m anyone’s
And you know
It’s a question of lust
It’s a question of trust
It’s a question of not letting
What we’ve built up
Crumble to dust
It is all of these things and more
That keep us together
Kiss me goodbye
When I’m on my own
But you know that I’d
Rather be home
It's a question of lust
This song is simply beautiful... so tender...

Christmas

I just wanted to say that my Christmas were great thanks to my sisters and my cousin Yem. I had a great time at the pool and playing with the camera.
Good gifts too... I've got the canvas ballerina shoes that I wanted. They are so cute.

Here's a pic (with a nice Photoshop tan) of myself at the pool:

Love is a number- White Rose Movement

White Rose Movement - Love Is A Number Lyrics
Home fires, nothing left to do,
Not the same old point of
view...say you do
Little bitches, learn my tricks,
All defences i stick up your face
And love is a number
I died on the carpet, now that is a scene!
Volleys of angels, i spread them with wings
Overtouched... love is a number
One of the lies, one of the looks, one of the
times...
I've just left the house
I'm through making out
With my dreams
Well i feel left out
I'm through making out:Love is a number.
Midnight, walks alone
The secret is up, your face is down,
And love is a number(gika-gika!) and
to the men who chose lies:
What is science, when
history's in doubt?
Some say
Some say sex sells
Some say
Some say sex sells (etc)
I've just left the room, i no more can consume
This kiss (...this kiss)T
hose kisses we made
The messes...
we meant it?
Home fires, nothing left to do
Never wasting words with you
Say you do
Shallow secrets cross my head
All the symbols i stick in
your head
That love is a number
And you're
wailing, you're wailing, you're wailing, it's
true
I fucking love myself
I better love you
Some
say / some say sex sells (i better love you)Some say /
some say sex sells (i think about you you)Some say / some
say sex sells (i always speak the truth)Some say / some
say sex sells (i think about you)I think about
you...

White Rose Movement rocks.... really badly. :)

Shake the disease- Depeche Mode

I'm not going down on my knees,
Begging you to adore me
Can't you see its misery
And torture for me
When I'm misunderstood
Try as hard as you can,
I've tried as hard as I could
To make you see
How important it is for me
Here is a plea
From my heart to you
Nobody knows me
As well as you do
You know how hard it is for me
To shake the disease
That takes hold of my tongue
In situations like these
Understand me
Some people have to be
Permanently together
Lovers devoted to
Each other forever
Now I've got things to do
And I've said before that I know you have too
When I'm not there
In spirit I'll be there
Here is a plea
From my heart to you
Nobody knows me
As well as you do
You know how hard it is for me
To shake the disease
That takes hold of my tongue
In situations like these
Understand me

The Smiths- Barbarism begins at home

I had a dream a couple of nights ago in which this song was a background music... and the weird thing is that is a Smiths song of which I didn't know the title and only listened a few times... but it goes so well with the dream now that I think of it.

The Smiths- Barbarism begins at home:
Unruly boys
Who will not grow up
Must be taken in hand
Unruly girls
Who will not settle downT
hey must be taken in hand
A crack on the head
Is what you get for not asking
And a crack on the head
Is what you get for asking
Unruly boys
Who will not grow up
Must be taken in hand
Unruly girls
Who will not settle down
They must be taken in hand
A crack on the head
Is what you get for not asking
And a crack on the head
Is what you get for asking
No ... a crack on the head
Is what you get for not asking
And a crack on the headI
s what you get for asking
A crack on the headI
is just what you get
Why ? because of who you are !
And a crack on the head
Is just what you get
Why ? because of what you are !
A crack on the head
Because of :Those things you saidThings you said
The things you did
Unruly boys
Who will not grow
Must be taken in hand
Unruly girls
Who will not growT
hey must be taken in hand
Ah ... oh, no ... oh, no
Ah ... oh, no ... oh, no
No ... no, no, no
No ... no, no

Personal Fest 2006: New Order and Ian Brown

In the series of festivals that've organised in the last 2 years, this year's edition of the Personal Fest was by far excellent.
The day started with several local acts... the best of them Emmanuel Horvillieur with his mix between rock and funk.
Then, we got our first dose of Manchester that night with Ian Brown's show. A great performance with lots of classic songs such as F.E.A.R. and I Wanna Be Adored. Plus, the moment in which Babasonicos (which is one of our most popular bands) and Carca (which is one of our craziest indie musicians) was pretty much unique.
Finally, we got our second dose of Manchester which was stronger and even better... synth pop collossum: New Order. They gave the best live performance I've ever seen. The energy of the band was so intense... Barney dancing, Phil jumping, Stephen playing his drums and Hooky being typically Hooky (staying those extra minutes after the show ended just playing the bass alone and listening to the audience shout his name).
The planned playlist was extended so we got loads of New Order's epic songs and Joy Division's classics.
And the best thing is that I made it into the front row... right in front of Barney. I never thought I'd be so close to any of the No. members.
New Order is and will be always my eternal love.
